During my time training as a photographer the whole digital era of photography began. As the darkroom and photographic film processing area was cut back more computers were bought and rooms were allocated for the use of computers only to download digital images and work on them. Everything became instant. I realize now experiencing this time that it really was a shift in photographic generations and I was part of that.

Old photographs still within negatives or printed on paper can now be restored to former glory with this amazing new technology. Older generations of our mothers and fathers and grandparents have these sometimes lost and faded moments lying in a cupboard or attic waiting to be brought to life again with photographic restoration. I have to admit, this service is one that I enjoy the most because it is renewing a moment for someone’s loved one and that to me is just as precious as capturing a new moment.

The restoration of old photographs is possible up to a high quality as long as the originals contain the necessary details for development. Black and White, Sepia, Colour, Slide Film, Negatives and Glass Plate Photos are all possible for restoration. The work is carried out digitally which enables various methods of manipulation, restoration or combinations of separate photographs.
